CHR stands for Certified Homefurnishings Representative, the highest level of professional achievement that the homefurnishings representative can attain.The CHR program provides the essential training necessary for the sales representative to effectively compete in today's global economy. Today's representative must add value to every transaction. The CHR program provides the knowledge, teaches the skills and gives the representative the tools to do that. CHR gives the representatives the competitive edge. Individuals who have completed the CHR program have consistently proven its effectiveness improving not only their bottom line but the bottom line of the companies they represent.IHFRA introduced the first Certified Home Furnishings Representative (CHR) program in 1969. The program is continuously updated to ensure it addresses current sales issues and educational needs. At present the CHR Committee is once again redesigning the CHR program. Details of the new CHR program curriculum will be posted to the website at a later date.
